Simulation of Complicated Non-linear Systems by Heterogeneous Structures
Abstract
Traditional look on control systems as separate continuous or discrete cannot be added to modern complicated systems containingboth kinds. Modern control systems are complicated and heterogeneous - continuous processes interact to each other by discretelinks. New simulation tools are needed to analyze such systems. Such tool is proposed. Continuous processes are simulated usingtraditional structural schemes representing differential (linear or non-linear) equations. Discrete links are simulated by Petri net, which is connected with continuous part of a system model through special, new introduced, elements – “processes”. The net maycontrol processes – switch them on or off. The continuous (analog) part may influence (send tokens) the net, through special blocks, too. The specialized software is written to simulate heterogeneous systems. This software makes construction of a model and simulationeasy and clear.
