Application of Methods of Digital Electronics for Restoration of Accent in Speech Signal
Abstract
New method for restoration of distorted accent in speech signals is presented. This method is based on mathematical accent model. Creation of linear and polynomial accent model according to mean characteristics of pitch and intensity of speech signal is described. Methods suitable for accent restoration are discussed. New method for restoration of distorted accent is created and described. It based accent model, takes into account non-linear change in time characteristics of intensity and pitch, processes speech signal forward and backward in time and is recursive. Suitability of proposed method for accent restoration is experimentally investigated. Shown that proposed method is more accurate in restoration of distorted speech segment where characteristics of speech signals has non-linear change in time comparing to other known methods.Published
