There is proved that transformer external characteristics are ellipses, the length of which axes depends on primary voltage, load power factory and parameters of shot-circuit triangle. When load power factory alters, the different forms of external characteristics can be obtain. These characteristics can fall and be used in the arc welding technology, or can rise until the secondary Given mathematical model allows to choose the different transformers parameters.
