Meander Retard System (RS) with Additional Comb Shields between the Conductors

Abstract

RS with dispersion reducing additional shields between meander conductors is analysed. Additional shields represent narrow strips, one end of which near open parts of meander loops is connected with external shield. For model creation a four-step multi-wired line, consisting from two different dimension strips is used. Mathematical RS model contains the dispersion equation, the expression of interrelation of peak factors and expression of the input impedance of the RS.
