Investigation Singularities of Propagation of Acoustical Noises Generated in Places of Unhermeticy of Pipelines
Abstract
The singularities of acoustical noises generated in places of unhermeticy and propagating in the walls of the gas pipelines inside and outside the pipelines are observed. It is determined that at these cases the frequency distributions of amplitude of the noises are very different and their intensity depends on pressure difference in the pipe and outside. It is shown that for determination of unhermeticy places in the low pressure gas pipelines the only acceptable way is the determination of cross correlation between the signals propagating inside the pipeline, when the signals are fixed at the ends of the controllable section.Published
