Development of a Model for Predicting Radio Wave Propagation over the Territory of Latvia

Abstract

The scope of the present study is to develop a model of radio wave propagation over the territory of Latvia. It should be immediately mentioned that the choice of this exact area is determined not only by its specific architectural or geographical peculiarities. The point is that, unfortunately, no ideal propagation models yet exist, but the improvement of existing models presents us interest specifically for the conditions of Latvia. The article mainly covers empirical models, as they have been tested practically and give the most probable result. Such models have also been incorporated in European standards.
