Investigation of Electrodynamic Systems by Methods of Finite Difference and Finite Elements
Abstract
Finite difference and finite elements methods were evaluated in sense of their usability for calculation of various periodic electrodynamic systems. Finite elements methods could be applied for calculation of structures with more complicated form of cross-section, nevertheless calculation of structures, formed from rectangular figures only, is more simple applying the method of finite difference. Properly selected parameter of relaxation, that changes its value in process of calculation, makes method of finite difference more effective. It was shown that finite difference and finite elements methods could be applied for calculation of all main characteristics of periodic electrodynamic systems that could be simulated by multistrip lines. The areas of application of finite difference and finite elements methods and errors of calculation were discussed.Published
