Experimental Research and Modelling of Propagation of Radio Waves in the Land Mobile Services

Abstract

We describe how the three most widely known universal models were verified in various urban and rural areas of Lithuania. Results of this testing clearly indicate the need to introduce additional corrections into models if they were to be applied in Lithuania. Addressing this problem, the paper presents a novel and simple approach, which allows based on measurements results to calculate and introduce the necessary amendments into empirical propagation model very quickly.
