Investigation of Potential Capabilities of Thermoelectric Thermometers for Estimation of Speed of Sound in Acoustical Distance Meters
Abstract
The method of linear approximation for non-linear variation of the speed of sound in air with temperature and thermoelectric thermometer functions is created. The investigation method for estimation of potential capabilities of ther-moelectric thermometers to form signal of the speed of sound for acoustic distance meters is described. The result of this investigation is concrete values of amplification coefficients and pedestal voltages to form information signal of the speed of sound in air for various thermoelectric thermometers and for various temperature ranges. The measurement errors of the speed of sound in air due to non-linear characteristics of investigated functions are found.Published
