Colour Constancy: Estimation of the Chromaticity Coordinates of the Surface Colour

Abstract

In this paper we describe a method for estimation of x, y chromaticity coordinates of surface colour under any illuminant. Computations have been made for 80 Munsell chips of 7/4 and 7/8 hues under illuminations A, B, G and C. The results are compared with experimental results obtained for six subjects.
