Fourth generation mobile networks, such as LTE Release 10, increases the demand for carrier backhaul capacity to gigabits per second. With mobile backhaul networks migrating from TDM-based to packet-switched network infrastructures, the transport technology needs to face synchronization requirements. This article describes the results of frequency synchronization measurements in working SyncE network on a mobile carrier premises.
