Investigation of Dynamic Characteristics of High Frequency Analog Digital Converters by Convex Technique
Abstract
High frequency analog digital converters (ADC) dynamic characteristics estimation peculiarities are analysed in this article. New, usefull for users, method for calculating ADC effective number of bits is proposed. This method estimates influence of test signal noise to converter quantification errors. Test bench for ADC dynamic check out is developed. The measurements, performed with 108 MHz clock frequency, shows the quality of modified convex technique. The possibilities of developing stable measurement signal generators for ADC testing with clock frequency over 1GHz are analysed.Published
