Automatic Code Generation for Embedded Systems from High-Level Models
Abstract
Software engineering methods have not been able to keep up with the complexities of modern real-time embedded systems. Automatic code generation from high-level formal models removes the manual coding step, enabling faster and higher quality code generation from system specification. A code generation case study involving a mobile robot control algorithm is described and verified in MATLAB, performance and properties of the generated code are compared to hand-written code.
