Abstract

The article presents methodology for the annotation and semantic description of the natural images and their regions. The tools are based on information embedding directly into the JPEG 2000 image content and inherits standard properties of JPEG 2000. The influence of embedded information is evaluated using HVS-based quality metrics. The annotation methodology is oriented, but not limited, to off-line users.
