Abstract

The paper presents a new realization of the positional servo system based on the pneumatic actuator which is controlled by Programmable Logical Controller. The control is done by Pulse Width Modulation and PID regulator is also applied as an integrated function of PLC. The algorithm is implemented at the experimental system which consists of the pneumatic cylinder with double action and two fast electromagnetic valves. The quality of tracking the reference curve in the shape of sine and pulse change has been tested in the experiments. Frequency characteristics of the system have been defined by experimental and calculation method. Ill. 6, bibl. 11 (in English; abstracts in English and Lithuanian).
